3

A rugged mountain range with sharp peaks under a clear blue sky, surrounded by rocky terrain and sparse green vegetation in the foreground.

Trip Details

Jebal Serbal; 2070 meters (سربال) is located in the most northern part of Sinai high mountains range. It stands along four sister peaks guarding the entrance of the mountains regions. The early Christians of Sinai believed that Serbal was the real mount Mouses. Serbal is located near Wadi Feiran (وادى فيران) and controlled/guided by the Garasha tripe (قبيلة الجرارشة) which inhabited the area for 100s of years.

Naqb Shaarani (نقب شعرانى) route will be used in the ascent. Shaarani is a more advanced and fun route that requires mostly scrambling.
This is an advanced level hike. A good physical fitness level and mountaineering experience are required.
