We led 3 successful hikes to Rimhan and It was simply epic.
Climbing the legendary Rimhan needs experienced fearless hikers with good stamina to make it safe and sound.

The climb involves
-full backpacking for a distance around 45 Km over 3 days through Wadies.
-Scrambling the mountain with light backpacks and avoiding loose rocks
-Hiking over edges/ridges -extreme caution needed and the possibility of threats will be present as we get near the summit

-There’s an intro to navigation for those interested, so you can get familiar with the route, elevation, and some basics of mountain navigation

#Plan:

Wednesday 2 April 9 Pm:
Gathering at El-Baron palace ,move and reaching St. Catherine around 5 Am next morning.

Thursday 3 April:
Hiking 5 Km with our full backpacks -The 3-days meals/food will be delivered on camels to our base camp-
Then take pick-up cars to get nearby our base camp (around 1.5 hours ride)
Then hike another 5 Km with our full backpacks to reach our base camp at the mountainside of Rimhan. We will sleep early to wake up at 3 Am next day.

Friday 4 April (Summit day):
We will start as early as possible and scramble our way up to the summit, write our names at the summit box, watch the horizon which extends to Suez gulf. Then hike our way back to the base camp and hike again around 5 to 7 km to a closer point to Esla

Saturday 5 April (Wadi Esla thru hike):
Leaving the legendary mountain behind, we will hike around 27 Km thru Wadi Isla to the other end of the wadi, at el-Tur city, We will ride another pick-up cars to the city where we will meet our beloved microbus again covered with the holy dust of the mountains. Reaching Cairo by 12 Pm/midnight.

#Excludes:
- 1200 EGP separate cost for a backpack to be carried on the camel (if you're not a fan or have an issue with carrying your full backpack)
